"We were praying for a miracle, and when it came, it was called Blue Skies Ranch.  My best friend and I were caretakers for our beloved and vibrant friend Michael.  Sadly, Michael had cancer, and as it progressed, bit by bit he lost himself and eventually, his ability to live alone.  We had few options, and we were devastated and at a loss. Michael was a nurturer, a colorful, loving, brilliant soul who adored people and loved his friends, and we were praying for a place he’d not just be comfortable, but where he would feel alive, engaged and valued. We knew how much his surroundings meant to him, and were determined to find him somewhere he would embrace.  A dear friend who knows Eilene suggested Blue Skies, and the moment we laid eyes on it we knew this would be the perfect place. After meeting Eilene, we were sure. After Eilene met Michael, and Michael met her adorable dogs, we knew this would indeed be our safe harbor.  Eilene, her staff and family took care of him as if they’d known him for years.  His room was bright and sunny and Eilene arranged it just to his liking. Michael, a lifelong dog lover, got more puppy-love than he could’ve bargained for and I don’t remember a visit where one of the house dogs wasn’t at his feet or standing sentry.  When someone is transitioning away, there’s such a deep feeling of hopelessness and helplessness. Words escape me when describing our relief that once Michael landed at Blue Skies, we at least knew we had found some shelter from the storm. After years, we both could breathe again knowing he was in loving, warm, capable hands, in a house filled with peace and beauty.  And dogs.  The night of my last visit, as he was falling asleep, Michael said, “I’m home.”  And I will have that in my heart, forever. A million thanks can’t even begin..."

"My mom was in assisted living before she was hospitalized with an infection. She then went to a skilled nursing facility before we had to decide whether to send her back to assisted living  or to a board and care home. We eventually decided a board and care would be more suited to her needs and we were referred to Blue Skies Ranch by an agency. From the moment I called Eilene(the owner), I knew this was the right decision. Eilene is a lovely caring person and took excellent care of my mother in her last months.  Eilene previously had taken care of her elderly mother and knew what families needed wasn't always available. She started the Blue Skies Ranch and redid the home. It is beautifully decorated and always smelled nice. It is also on a quiet street in a nice area. Eilene is also an RN and was not only compassionate, she loved spending time with my mother. She also lives in the home with the residents. My mom loved her and loved the ranch and Eilene's daughter Shannon. The caretakers played games with the tenants in the living room and let residents help pick their meals. All of the meals were served with such beautiful dishes and always looked wonderful. Eilene would spend hours watching tv with my mom and chatting with her. It is a smaller board and care with only 3-4 residents at a time. I would highly recommend it for anyone that needs more care than they can get at home. I also felt much safer having her there than in a larger facility due to the pandemic. My mom was able to visit with the other residents and play games and watch tv since there were only 3 of them. They also have a nice area set up outside for visiting. I highly recommend Blue Skies Ranch!"

"There are no words to describe what an amazing place this is or how incredible of a human being Eilene Krakover, the owner, is. It's never an easy decision to have to move someone you love into a care facility, but, Eilene made it as good of an experience as it could have possibly been. I will be forever grateful to her, her daughter Shannon, and the rest of the staff for the wonderful care they took of one of my best friends, Michael. From the second I moved him into Blue Skies Ranch until the day he passed away, it was the best thing I could have ever done for him. From the moment he set foot in the door, he was showered with love and warmth, and treated like a member of the family. The house itself is beautiful and inviting, right down to the potpourri scents apparent as soon as you walk in the door. Home cooked meals tailored to the residents' tastes and needs is just one of the ways Blue Skies goes above and beyond. With an expansive back yard and little dogs running around, everything about Blue Skies Ranch makes you feel at home. I truly cannot think of a better place for a loved one who is no longer able to live at home. Thank you, Eilene, Shannon and the rest of the staff, from the bottom of my heart for all you did for Michael. I will never be able to adequately express my gratitude and appreciation for giving him a loving home to live out his last days. For anyone looking for a care facility, look no further. There is no place better than Blue Skies Ranch!"

My mom is hard to please but loves Eilene, the owner and manager. Her needs are taken care of on time and with sensitivity.  I recommend  Blue Skies Ranch strongly."
